BRIGS Core Values in Action: A Commitment to Sustainability

At BRIGS, we take pride in upholding our core values each day—Balance, Respect, Innovation, Growth, and Sustainability. While these values guide our actions and communications each and every day, we are excited to shed light on a value that doesn’t always get the attention it deserves–sustainability.

Sustainability isn’t just a buzzword for us. It’s a fundamental principle that influences our impact on the environment that we all share. One of our key business practices is always promoting electronic communication in favor of paper, envelopes, and postage. Why opt for traditional USPS mail when electronic communication offers a faster and more efficient alternative?

Despite our emphasis on electronic communication, we acknowledge that certain situations require the use of paper products. To address this, we’ve partnered with Earthworm, a recycling company with a legacy dating back to 1970. In 2023, we achieved significant milestones in our sustainability efforts, and we’re thrilled to share some of the highlights:

These accomplishments include recycling 14 lbs of cardboard, 1,400 lbs of paper, and an additional 32 lbs of plastic, glass, and metals. Notably, we’ve successfully reduced the amount of material requiring recycling by over 900 lbs since 2019.

Our commitment to sustainability extends beyond just being good partners to our clients. We see it as a responsibility to be a good partner to the environment that supports us all. By actively participating in recycling initiatives and promoting electronic communication, we’re not only saving costs for our clients, but also contributing to a healthier, greener planet.

As we move forward, BRIGS remains dedicated to finding innovative ways to further minimize our environmental footprint. We invite our clients, partners, and everyone connected with us to join us on this journey towards a more sustainable and eco-friendly future.
