Meet the Team: Bill Anastasia, Associate Director of Condominium Management
Hi, friends.
The new year is here, and we’re kicking it off with Associate Director of Condominium Management, Bill Anastasia. Day to day at BRIGS, he directly manages a small portfolio of condominiums and oversees a team of portfolio managers. Read on to get to know Bill (including his go-to brunch pick).
Please tell us a bit about yourself!
I was born and raised in Boston. Southie is my Hometown. Currently I live in my wife Rachel’s hometown North Andover. I have a six-year-old son Jackson and my wife is expecting our second baby boy on May 4, 2022.
It’s a new year. What are you looking forward to in 2022?
Besides hopefully getting rid of COVID from our collective lives, I’m looking forward to expansion and growth. Growing my family with a new baby boy and growing my work family (i.e. the team I oversee). This time of year also is close to pitchers and catchers reporting to Spring Training which means very soon winter will be over and I can get back to enjoying a Red Sox game with my friends and family. Top Gun is also being released in May. I have been waiting 30 years for this sequel.
Did you make any resolutions this year? If so, would you share one?
No resolutions for me, but one thing I need to do this year is walk through the front door of a gym. It’s been a long time.
What was the last TV show you binge-watched?
VEEP and Seinfeld. Clearly a fan of Julia Louis-Dreyfus.
Do you have any pets?
My wife and I are highly allergic to dogs and cats but we always have fish. Right now we have two Glo-Fish. We recently lost our beloved Banana.
Who inspires you?
Teachers. My wife was a teacher and now serves in School Administration but teachers are underappreciated, underpaid and undervalued.
What’s the most rewarding part of your job?
Working in property management you interact with so many different people from all walks of life. I am a gregarious type of person and this job has afforded me the opportunity to work with and get to know some really good people—be it clients, vendors or coworkers.
Have you read any good books lately?
So, back to that question about resolutions… Reading might be a good answer to that question as well. I haven’t finished any books lately but am a big fan of James Patterson and C.J. Box.
Pancakes or waffles?
Chicken and waffles. If it’s on the menu, I am ordering it.
What’s your favorite place you’ve ever visited?
Tulum, Mexico and Xel-Há park. But locally we are very fond of Ogunquit and Wells, Maine. We vacation every year in the area. The ocean cures all!
Until next time,
The BRIGS Team
