Meet the Team: Rachel Christopher, VP of Condominiums

What is your role at BRIGS, and what does your day-to-day look like? My role includes team development, training and support, employee and client retention and managing the day-to-day operations of the condominium division.  Every day is different, which is what makes property management interesting and enjoyable.  However, each day includes collaborating and problem solving with the BRIGS team of managers and our Boards to enhance the overall condominium management experience.

What’s the most rewarding part of your job? The most rewarding aspect of my job is working with clients and managers to set and achieve their goals.  A well-managed property is a direct reflection of the Board, Property Manager and the Management Company.  Ensuring that managers are supported and have the tools and resources they need to succeed is key.  In turn clients receive the services that they expect, and a partnership that fosters growth, success and mutual respect.

What’s something you find challenging about your work?   As a property management company, we are responsible, in part, for managing our clients’ homes and money.  It’s our job to establish and maintain both professional and impactful relationships with our clients.  Homes and finances are both extremely personal matters that are high priorities for most people.  At times, it can be challenging to balance the professional and personal nature of this business.

What are some hobbies you enjoy? I am a big music fan. My favorite artist is Prince.  I also love karaoke.  I have karaoke at home and enjoy going out to sing as well.  I not very good at it but it sure makes it fun!

Who inspires you? My daughter, Hannah Rose. Since she was born, I knew she was destined for excellence. She is an overachiever in every aspect of her life; academically, socially and now professionally. The breadth of her impact on family, friends, society and the future are boundless. Among many other things she is a trailblazer, advocate, mentor and embodiment of individuality.

Do you have a book, movie, or TV show you are enjoying at the moment? I really enjoy Severance and I’m looking forward to Season 2.

Tell us about your ideal weekend plan. I am a big animal lover, especially dogs.  At one point we had a pack of five, but we only have one now which is a 170-pound Great Dane named Alfred.  My ideal weekend would be spending it with Alfred, my family and friends at the pool enjoying good music, food and drinks.

What’s a motto or mantra that you live by?  Strive for excellence, not perfection.

Coffee or tea? Ice coffee year-round.

Skiing or snowboarding? Neither. I’ll take a lounge chair by a swimming pool.

What’s your favorite part of winter in New England?  When it’s over.
