Meet the Team: Mariana M. Valdivia, Transitions Coordinator & Administrative Assistant
What is your role at BRIGS, and what does your day-to-day look like?
I am a Transitions Coordinator and Administrative Assistant. My job is to transition properties to other management companies, aiming to keep it as smooth and easy as possible. I also make sure invoices get to the right place, and I contact our suppliers, among other things.
What’s the most rewarding part of your job?
Learning new skills and new ways of getting things done. Understanding the impact of my work on my colleagues and on the lives of the clients.
What’s something you find challenging about your work?
Implementing some processes I have just learned, getting things right so as not to impact my colleagues or our customers.
What are some hobbies you enjoy?
Dancing, singing, learning!
Who inspires you?
My family, plus new people I encounter in my day-to-day.
Do you have a book, movie, or TV show you are enjoying at the moment?
I enjoyed the movie Everything Everywhere All At Once.
Tell us about your ideal weekend plan.
I love seeing new places, new faces, and new places to dance. I like to have a good time.

Be kind to yourself :)
What instantly makes your day better?
Spending time with my dog.
Coffee or tea?
I try to be a tea person, but in my heart I will always be a coffee person.
What are you looking forward to most about spring?
Being able to go camping, to do things outdoors, to wear more colorful clothing, to eat ice cream, and more.
Any spring travel plans?
Let's go to the beach!!!!
It’s a sunny spring weekend. What are you doing?
I like to exercise or go to a museum. Then I like to go to a restaurant to eat an aguachile, with my good friends and a nice cold beer.
